The body's other circulatory system: The Lymphatic system

Ones Lymphatic System is  a network of lymph vessels and nodes similar to the blood vessels of the primary circulatory system.  The lymphatic system is often referred to as the "secondary" circulatory system. The flow of lymph is produced by body movement and is comparatively slower than the blood system.  It is also more easily and easily obstructed or congested.   The purpose of the Lymphatic System is to circulate fluid through the lymph vessels, nodes and through the tissues of the body.  This removes metabolic waste products, reclaim nutrients from the spaces in, around and between the cells of the body.  It also helps regulate the fluid balance of the body and maintain a healthy Immune System by producing (in the Lymph nodes) and delivering anti-bodies and white blood cells.
