Lymphatic Massage soothes tension and stimulates the relaxation response
Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage (the Vodder method) is a hands on therapy technique performed on a massage table in a relaxing setting, it is not a traditional massage but can be combined into a traditional massage to enhance the benefits of massage therapy.
Lymphatic massage gently stimulates the flow of the Lymphatic System, soothing the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight mechanism - which is chronically "on" these days) and activating the parasympathetic nervous system which produces a relaxation response, clients often fall asleep on the table during the session.
